A Class Act
restaurant is operated by students
enrolled in Lake Washington Technical College's
Culinary Arts program,
in Kirkland, Washington, under the supervision of
Chefs Don Johnson and Alan Joynson.
Chef Don Johnson
For more than 20 years, Chef Don Johnson has taught culinary arts
and served as a restaurateur and chef. He was
corporate chef and training director for a restaurant chain.
Chef Johnson's educational background includes culinary studies in Zurich,
Switzerland; an associate of arts degree from Clark College; and additional
courses at Cornell University in hotel management.
Chef Alan Joynson
Chef Alan Joynson has worked food service for 22 years.
He is a California Culinary Academy graduate, and he apprenticed in France.
He spent 10 years cooking and traveling throughout Asia.
He is the instructor for "Everyday Gourmet
School of Cooking" located above Larry's Market in Bellevue

Both Joynson and Johnson agree that to be successful in the field
involves a love of cooking and a positive attitude towards serving people.
Making people happy is the most important thing, says Johnson.
